Welcome to the beginning of the personal blog vaguely connected to my clothing brand. This blog will mainly focus on the things I love and hate in fashion, along with my thoughts on the direction that fashion, and music are currently heading in. While I have no authority over these areas of interest, I am passionate in my opinions about most things. I have zero experience in writing with intent to publish so bear with me as I navigate how to run and write a blog.
I want to give some context parts of who I am in art and inspiration. I guess I should nip this in the bud first, I am NOT the movie guy. There's a plethora of classic films that I haven't seen or heard of. I am actively working on changing that fact, but I will happily do that at my own pace... That being said, I love Wes Anderson. I know its basic in the indie film world to love Wes Anderson movies, but I just told ya'll I'm not the movie guy, so your world is not mine. Let me live! My favorite movie is probably Grease to be honest. The more I type the more I realize I'm probably discrediting myself to movie snobs, but honestly this shit isn't for you. This blog is about fashion and music. Some of my favorite musicians are Blood Orange, Tyler the Creator, Blur, The Smiths, Steve Lacy, Solange, JPEGMAFIA, and Yves Tumor. I'm gonna go ahead and get this out of the way too. If you say you "listen to everything" when someone asks you what kind of music you listen to, you're either lying or you don't know shit. There are genres within genres with genres, and all I hear you play is Harry Styles and that one B-side track by David Bowie that you Shazamed at a coffee shop. Lastly, as far as my interest in fashion goes, I live and die by minimalism in my outfits. I have a great deal of appreciation for fashion that doesn't suit my particular look, so my preferences shouldn't cloud my judgement when discussing fashion here. My first love in fashion was preppy clothes, but I have since broadened my knowledge, and I'm more than happy to share the evolution of my interests as we move forward with this blog.
